What is Electrolyzed Water?

Electrolyzed Water can be alkaline or acidic, but for drinking water purposes you want the alkaline water. Alkaline electrolyzed water can have a pH value of up to 11, and also can have an ORP (Oxidation Reduction Potential) of minus 800 mV.

Electrolysis happens when an electric current is passed through the water, which causes certain elements and compounds to be separated from one another.

Oxidation occurs when oxygen comes into contact with cells, causing them to lose electrons. This loss of electrons causes the cells to break down and change functions. Therefore, you want to eat a lot of "antioxidants" to prevent much oxidation. The ORP of the electrolyzed water can help reduce oxidation also.
